APRS - Automated Position Reporting System

APRS is a real-time tactical digital communications protocol that can be used to implement a multi-user data network over RF. APRS was developed in the 1990's by Bob Bruninga, WB4APR for tracking and digital comms with mobile GPS equipped stations with two way radio.

This work is based around the setting up of a trial APRS setup. The servers are accessible from http://aprs.auld.me.uk/ and when the servers are running you will be able to see their status. If you have an APRS client such as UI-View connected to a server you should be able to see the servers as IGates on the map when they're running.
